I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I am 100% the definition of a foodie. There are few things in the world that get me as or more excited than a delicious recipe. This summer, as mentioned in my "summer activities" post, one of my goals is to hone in on and improve my skills in the kitchen. What good is being a die-hard foodie if you aren't that great at preparing the delicacies yourself?! I've taken to my favorite board on pinterest and found the first three recipes I'm dying to try out! Here we go...
A few days ago, I tried my hand at a cupcake recipe that has officially changed my life! (Ok, ok, maybe that's dramatic but guys, this cupcake is sooo good!) I was in the mood for something chocolatey and decadent without being sickly sweet. I decided to make a rich chocolate cupcake with peanut butter frosting, and let me tell you-it was freaking delicious! I had to share the recipe because this guy was too good to keep to myself!
I have a weakness for snacking. When 3:00 rolls around, my internal clock sounds its alarm and alerts me that once again, my stomach needs some nutrients! I tend to reach for whatever is most convenient at the time, whether that be a muffin sitting on the counter or leftovers from dinner the night before. I realized that snacking can be counter productive if you aren't really listening to your body's needs (i.e. providing snacks that are nutritious as well as delicious). I've decided to round up some of my favorite go-to snacks that provide wonderful benefits without sacrificing flavor! Cause let's be honest-who really wants to eat kale...?
